How long will my course take to complete?

Health and Harmony courses are completely self-paced, and each study plan differs. Generally, we offer 12 months to complete most courses, however some larger courses may take up to 18 months. During this time, you may take as little or as long as you like, provided payment is up-to-date, and extension options are also available in some circumstances. If you are unsure, you may like to ask our friendly staff about the length of time involved for your personal study plan.

What exactly is involved in each course?

Each course is delivered in the form of a number of lessons, which you will receive by email over the duration of your study program. These lessons, which will come in the form of a booklet, will contain reading material and short, try-at-home practical exercises, concluding with a short questionnaire of 10-20 questions.

As you finish each lesson, simply fill out these questions and send them back to Health and Harmony Colleges to be marked. Your assessment results will then be sent back to you with your next lessons so that you can continue to progress through the program.

In addition, students participating in our more practically based courses are encouraged to practice with family/friends and keep a diary on their experiences. This diary is purely for your own educational and insurance purposes and will not need to be handed in.

I haven’t studied for a long time! Will I find it too difficult?

Many students worry that they will not be able to return to study after leaving the books behind for so long, however, here at Health and Harmony, we’re here to help you achieve your studying goals. As our courses are fully self-paced and can be completed from the comfort of your own home, we cater to your schedule, and there’s no pressure or competition to cause you stress. If you are having trouble, you can give us a call – our friendly tutors and staff will help you overcome any problems you may face along the way.

How will I be assessed?

As previously mentioned, each lesson is finalised by completing a questionnaire on the material you have just learnt and sending it back to us to be marked. This way, we are able to evaluate your progress and assist you with any problems you may have with the course material.

As a student, you will receive personal and ongoing support from our qualified practitioner tutors and staff, who will guide you in your studies until you achieve your final Award.

When can I get started?

Health and Harmony courses home-study delivery is a flexible approach to learning, with no fixed start dates - although you are expected to complete the course within the time allocated to the program you choose to study. You can enroll at anytime, at which point we will send you a Starter Pack containing the initial course materials, and you can get started straight away.

What recognition will I receive at the end of my course?

Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive your Certificate or Diploma, will be entitled to use post-nominal letters HH (Health and Harmony) and, of course, you will have gained new knowledge to assist you in your career or life direction.

As Health and Harmony College is a fully approved training provider of the International Institute for Complimentary Therapists (IICT), our students are also entitled to apply for student membership with the organisation, and may progress to full membership status when they have completed their course.

Graduates are also eligible to be put on the Holistic Health Associates International website (HHA International) register.  This will add kudos to your qualification and professional status.  This register is also a handy directory for like minded people and clients to find practitioners in their area.

What insurance will I be eligible for as a practitioner?

Where applicable, qualified graduates are eligible to apply for professional indemnity insurance for their practice. This cover is considered essential for the professional practitioner and their clients. For more information, please contact the college.

However, if you do find you are studying faster than your payment plan, you can simply make an extra payment or pause your study until you catch up. An administration fee of $15 applies monthly on all overdue fees.

Note: Overseas Students are GST exempt, so deduct 10% from fees as seen in the career guide and then add 20% International student levy.

Can I get a refund?

Should Health and Harmony Colleges cancel any course, participants are entitled to a full refund, otherwise no refund can be granted. Health and Harmony Colleges reserve the right to change policies, procedures and prices without notice.

Monthly payment plans are due on the first of each month, and late payments include a $15 admin fee.

When you enroll with a payment plan, you are liable for all payments even if you discontinue your study. Failure to remit payment may result in the debt being referred to a debt collection agency for recovery or legal action. Cost will be payable by the debtor.
