How long does the course take to complete?
Each of the study programs differs, however you can allow a year to complete your course, though you might be able to finish it in six months or even earlier. At the end of each module you will have ten to twenty questions to answer.
Having not studied for a long time, will I find it too difficult?
Many of our students are in a similar position, you learn at your own pace, in your own home. There is no pressure, no competition and our friendly tutors will help you overcome any problems you may have, all that you need to do is stay in touch with them.
How will I be assessed?
Each lesson is finalised by completing a questionnaire on the material you have just learnt. This way our tutors are able to evaluate your progress and assist you if any difficulties arise. As a student you will receive personal and ongoing support from our qualified practitioner tutors. Your friendly tutor will guide you through until you gain your Award.
How exactly does a home-study course work?
Home-study is a flexible approach to learning. You´re not tied down to fixed start dates, although you are expected to complete within one year. Once you enrol in your chosen course, we will send you the initial course materials and you can get started straight away. Progressively, you will complete and submit your assignments to your tutor, they will be sent back to you assessed, along with your next modules.
What recognition will I receive at the end of my course?
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive your Certificate or Diploma and will be entitled to use post-nominal letters HH (Health and Harmony). Plus you will have new knowledge to assist you in your career or life direction. Additionally, we are a full practitioner Member and Industry Partner of the Holistic Health Association International Inc. All of our students are entitled to apply for student membership and progress to practitioner status when they have achieved one hundred and twenty practical hours. Those that have a business related to the health industry are entitled to apply for industry partner membership.
What insurance will I be eligible for, as a practitioner?
Where applicable. qualified students are eligible for cover from Professional Indemnity Insurers. This cover is considered essential for the professional practitioner and their clients in today´s climate. For more information, please contact the college.
What is the enrolment / payment procedure?
You can purchase a course directly through this website with our secure eShop system. Simply browse the courses (navigation is on the left), make your selection and proceed to the ‘checkout’. You will then be sent an email with instructions on finalising your enrolment. For more information simply give us a call to arranfe over the phone 13000 13 14 92.
Alternatively you may enrol and pay over the phone if using your credit card with one of our friendly staff; you may be eligible for a gift so don´t forget to ask. You can also ask to have the enrolment form faxed to you, and then return it to the College with your payment information. The most cost effective way is to pay your course fees up-front, however we do have easy payment plans.
Payments may be made by chq, money order, credit card or via internet banking. If you elect to pay by instalments, you agree to make regular monthly payments from the time of enrolment irrespective of changes in personal circumstances. If you study faster than the payment plan allows then just make an extra payment or pause your study until you catch up. A late fee levy of 5% applies monthly on all outstanding fees.
Note: Overseas Students are GST exempt, so deduct 10% from fees as seen in the career guide and then add 20% International student levy in order to cover international postage.
Can I get a refund?
Should Health and Harmony Colleges cancel any course, participants are entitled to a full refund, otherwise no refund is granted. Health and Harmony Colleges reserve the right to change policies, procedures and prices without notice.
Monthly payment plans are due on the first of each month, late payments include a $15 admin fee.
When you enrol with a payment plan, you are liable for all payments even if you discontinue your study. Failure to remit payment may resul in the debt being referred to a debt collection agency for recovery or legal action. Cost will be payable by the debtor.
How can I achieve my "Master Therapist" Advanced Diploma?
The Master Therapist Advanced Diploma is a research qualification. You can achieve your master Therapist status by successfully graduating from 4 (four) diploma courses within 18 months, followed by the completion of a two thousand word research thesis in your chosen field. Be sure to tell us when you enrol that you want to be a Master Therapist, so that your name can be entered on the register!
