Pre-Enrolment
What is the enrolment procedure?
We offer several options for enrolment, including via our secure website or over the phone. If you decide to enrol via our secure website, you can purchase your course by simply browsing through our course list, making a selection (enrolling in full or via payment plan), adding it to your cart, and proceeding to the ‘checkout’.
Once you've received your enrolment confirmation, you'll need to complete the 'Health & Harmony Colleges Enrolment Form' which is linked to your confirmation email to take the next steps to finalising your enrolment.
You can also call us on 1300 13 14 92 – our Course Advisors will help you enrol over the phone. Payments may be made by credit/debit card, PayPal, PayPal Pay in 4, AfterPay and Klarna. For a payment plan, debits can be set-up to a credit/debit card or a bank account.
*International students are welcome to study with Health and Harmony, however they must pay for their course in full.
Are there any prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites for enrolment into the majority of courses.
There are, however, exceptions to this are courses like our Clinical Art Therapy Practitioner Course which requires students to have completed the Art Therapy Practitioner Course prior.
Please connect with one of our Course Advisors to clarify which course will best suit you.
What computer skills and software do I need to enrol?
Health and Harmony Colleges specialises in online education. This means that a basic level of computer literacy is required to enrol in your chosen course.
Whilst our Student Support Team is available to assist students with most technical issues during study, it is important that you:
- Have regular access to a computer or laptop with internet access.
- Have a basic knowledge of using a computer – how to navigate an internet browser, downloading/uploading a document, editing a document and adding images to a document.
- Have an ability to open and edit a Word Document. For PC users this will require access to Microsoft Office, and for Mac users this will require access to Pages.
- Know how to ‘Save As’ a PDF.
I am an International Student, can I enrol?
As our courses are studied online, you can study from anywhere, even overseas!
If you are living in another country, without an Australian bank account, you will need to purchase your course and pay for it upfront. Payment plans are only available to students with an active Australian bank account.
My Enrolled Course
When can I get started?
Once you have enrolled through our website, provided you have paid for your course upfront, you will receive an email confirming which includes your enrolment form, a second email from our Student Support team confirming your Student Number and course details along with a third email that has login details to our Student Portal on the same or following business day.
If you have purchased your course on our website via a payment plan, you will receive the first email with your enrolment form. You can then book a call in with our Student Support team using the information provided in your enrolment confirmation email, or they will contact you on the same or following business day to finalise your payment plan and enrolment. Alternatively, we can arrange enrolment for you over the phone if you prefer.
Please note that for students located outside of Australia, that only upfront enrolments are an option and payment plan enrolments are not accepted at this time.
Are all courses online?
Students at Health & Harmony study online, via our Virtual Campus and Student Portal.
This portal is an online hub where you will access all your lesson content, download your assessments, and receive feedback on your completed assessments. All course content is presented in an engaging digital format to improve your study experience.
Within the portal, you also have the option to connect with other students, and receive support from the College, via a range of student forums.
Online learning offers flexibility and accessibility, enabling students to learn at their own pace from anywhere. Personalised learning adapts content and assessments to individual needs.
Online platforms foster collaboration through discussion boards, promoting communication and teamwork.
The pandemic accelerated the adoption of online learning, revolutionising education. Flexibility, accessibility, personalisation, diverse resources, and collaboration shape the future of education beyond the crisis.
Are there exams? How will I be assessed?
Assessments form a part of every course with Health & Harmony and provide a way for you to test your knowledge and our tutor team with a way to assess your progress.
Each lesson within your course will have a corresponding assessment based on a series of questions relating to the work covered. These assessments may incorporate short answer written responses, multiple choice questions or short essays.
Some courses include logbook tasks that account for a practical course element. These logbooks may require video, written case studies or artwork to be created.
Your course advisor can provide more specific information on assessments included in your course of interest.
How are my assessments marked?
Assessments are marked by our Health & Harmony Tutor Team. This team is made up of working practitioners, many of them past students, with a wealth of experience they are happy to share with you.
Once an assessment has been completed, you will upload it to our Student Portal for marking, with the option to ask a specific question of your tutor, or provide feedback if you would like.
Assessments are marked within 10 working days from date of submission with a score out of 100, and additional feedback provided.
Payment Procedure
What is the payment procedure when I enrol?
We offer several options for enrolment, including via our secure website or over the phone. If you decide to enrol via our secure website, you can purchase your course by simply browsing through our course list, making a selection (enrolling in full or via payment plan), adding it to your cart, and proceeding to the ‘checkout’. Alternatively, you can call us on 1300 13 14 92 – our Course Advisors will help you enrol over the phone.
Payments may be made by credit/debit card, PayPal, PayPal Pay in 4, AfterPay or Klarna.
Payment Plan Deposits can be paid via AfterPay, Klarna PayPal Pay in 4. Beyond the deposit, students must adhere to the monthly payment schedule detailed in the course description when paying the remaining course fee. For a payment plan, debits can be set-up to a credit/debit card or a bank account.
Although the most cost effective way is to enrol in full, we do offer easy payment plan options to help you in paying off your course. If you decide to enrol via a payment plan, you agree to make monthly payments on the first day of every month, or the closest business day.
*International students are welcome to study with Health and Harmony, however they must pay for their course in full.
If you enrol with the college on a payment plan and complete your course before your plan has been paid in full you have two options:
- Process a lump sum payment for the balance owing on your payment plan
- Continue your payment plan on a monthly arrangement and receive your Certificate once the plan has been paid in full
What happens if I miss a monthly payment?
If you are on a payment plan and happen to miss your monthly payment, don’t worry.
We understand that life can get busy, and it happens. You’ll receive a payment link via email to rectify the missed payment, and you can simply use this link to catch up on the payment.
If you don’t use the payment link to rectify the missed payment, we will make up to two more attempts to process the payment, each separated by two days. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to catch up.
If you miss two monthly payments, we’ll temporarily suspend your course access. However, don’t worry; it’s a step we take to ensure the sustainability of your education. To reinstate your course access, you’ll need to clear the arrears. If you ever encounter difficulties, please reach out to our Student Support team, and we’ll work with you to find a solution. Your education is important to us, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
General Questions
Can I print my lessons?
All of our courses are digital in nature, with your content accessed via our student portal.
This being said, if you would like to print your lessons you can download these directly from the Portal (if you have paid for the course in full), or you are welcome to reach out to our Student Support team and request lessons to be emailed to you in PDF format throughout your study.
We also recommend building your own notebook – digital or handwritten – with points important to you and your future career path.
Will there be support throughout my studies?
Throughout your studies, you will have the full support of our Student Support team.
Support can be contacted via phone or email for guidance and clarification on all lessons and assessments.
You will also have access to our Student Forum where you can ask questions of our support team, but also connect with fellow students and ask questions, provide support or share insights on course material.
How long will my course take to complete?
Our courses are entirely self-paced, designed to be attainable and stress-free alongside your own schedule.
Each course has a unique maximum timeframe, dependent on the number of modules involved. This timeframe will range from 12-24 months, and is displayed on each individual product course page. During this time, you may take as little or as long as you like, provided payments are up-to-date, and extension options are also available in certain circumstances.
If you are unsure, you may like to ask our friendly staff about the length of time involved for your personal study plan.
Recognition of my Course
Are your courses Nationally Recognised or Government Accredited?
Health & Harmony Practitioner Courses allow you to practice as qualified (within the scope of the education).
For example, our Art Therapy Practitioner course and Holistic Counsellor Practitioner course allow you to start your own business as an Art Therapist or Holistic Counsellor, respectively, and obtain insurance to practice within the scope of your education. You can start your own business, and be contracted to work at schools or aged care facilities.
We even have graduates who work in correctional services. However, should you wish to go to university, they will not acknowledge your transcript as ‘prior learning’ as we operate under a different framework.
Natural Therapies within Australia is largely self-regulated. However, to call yourself qualified – it is interpreted that you have obtained equivalent study to join an association and obtain insurance to practice.
We are not an RTO (Registered Training Organisation), which is why our course fees are not in excess of several thousands of dollars. Our courses do not give you a pathway to a higher education award (i.e. University).
In many cases, there is no higher education award pathway for the majority of our modalities (for popular subjects such as Holistic Counselling, Crystal Healing, etc.). For some modalities, prior to 2019, one could study an RTO qualification and obtain a provider number to offer their clients a rebate through private health insurance companies, however:
“Since 1 April 2019 private health insurers have no longer been able to offer benefits for some natural therapies as part of a health insurance policy: The affected natural therapies are Alexander technique, aromatherapy, Bowen therapy, Buteyko, Feldenkrais, western herbalism, homeopathy, iridology, kinesiology, naturopathy, Pilates, reflexology, Rolfing, shiatsu, tai chi, and yoga.” (Source:https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/health_insurance/phichanges/index.htm)
There is an entrepreneurial intent when studying an industry recognised course. Health and Harmony Colleges is an approved training provider for Holistic Health Associates International (hhai.com.au) and International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT). It is the responsibility of the student to confirm prior to enrolment which association recognises their course.
What recognition will I receive when I complete my course?
Upon successful completion of your Practitioner course, you will receive your qualification certificate.
You will be entitled to use post-nominal letters HH (Health and Harmony) and, of course, you will have gained new knowledge to assist you in your career or life direction.
Health and Harmony College is a fully approved training provider of both:
Holistic Health Associates International (HHAI)
